This is something I posted at esangha and it died on the vine. Maybe there will be some interest here. I've written about lots of subjects but this is one I've never been able to write. So I sat on the couch with my tape recorder and spoke it. Then I cleaned it up with some editing sofware, and here is the result. It's about ten and a half minutes. These are some thoughts about the nature of reality and what causes reality to show up as it does. How can we respond to this? Have fun. timwees.com/051128.mp3

This is something I learned from several sources back in the late '70s and early '80s, and it's something I have practiced ever since. However, I have not heard it mentioned in a Buddist context, per se, such as your references to samsara, sutra, and tantra. But that's a matter of semantics, I'm sure. Sorry it took me so long to listen to this, but I've been caught up in other things lately.

What they are named is unimportant. I think Buddhism is a good context for these ideas though .. mostly because of the profoundly compassionate nature of buddhism. Being compassionate keeps one honest. Then it's fun to play with these ideas. Elsewise it probably will be anything but fun.
I'm keen to know more of the detail of your experience.
