Hurrah!! and now have my avatar working too!! Yay!! That's great! I think you might even be able to expand or increase the size of your avatar by simply typing 100 for height and 100 for width. Did you try that? It might make it bigger. I'm not positive about that, however.

Oh, I see what you're saying. I just noticed that we don't appear to be able to upload photos from our own computer. Instead, we can only use photos that are hosted somewhere on the internet. Shoot! I know we also don't have the ability to attach photos in our posts, because that's an extra program that is not free, I think. I know that Jon has uploaded a lot of our smileys to an image hosting site where he can then link the photos from there. I think Jon used this site: www.imageshack.us but you could also use: www.photobucket.com. Both are free photo hosting sites. Does any of that make sense?

How do I actually download an avatar from my file? What about using your avatar from the other place? I really liked it! Here is the URL link you could use, assuming they will allow a link to that site: www.newbuddhist.com/forum/image.php?u=61&dateline=1137419760

OK.... This is what I tried to do... I had the smiley before, and I tried to paste the URL address in the appropriate space.... edited profile....no go... Aha! I thought! Delete smiley! Put 'none' instead! Did that, re-pasted URL address, sized it 100 X 100... edit profile.... Still no go.... and I am doing - what - wrong?

Oh, at last....!!
Which seems a redundant thing to say, because all posts are "backdated" with an avatar, so it sounds like: - "what she talkin' about?! Her avatar right there, man! Can't she see it??? Dumb broad...!!"
Thank you! if ever I want to change it... I'll fight the temptation - !!
What do you figure was going wrong, BTW?

maybe it doesn't accept png's. who knows Oh, that could be ... because when I tried to use mine, I had to re-save it from a "gif" to a "jpg" in order to use it. Hmm ... Whoops!! I spoke too soon ... I just checked and I'm using it as a "gif" here, so it must have been another forum that required me to make those changes. Sorry!
